Jason Most of you reading this already know that I’m a big birder. Those that don’t know me have probably already figured that out just based on the posts on this site. Misty and I hike often and I’m always birding while doing it. Sometimes, however, we venture somewhere that is specifically for birding. Madera Canyon in southern Arizona is one of those places.
We’ve been twice now. Several years ago, while staying in Tucson, we visited the canyon for an afternoon. This time, however, we stayed at the campground within the canyon. This allowed me to walk to some of the best spots for seeing birds. If, like me, you enjoy birds then I highly recommend a visit!
