It is our year to hang out for some of the fall/winter months in southern Arizona. We switch between the east and west every other year to keep things interesting and hopefully see new things. This year we ventured to some of the national parks and monuments around Arizona that we hadn’t seen during previous trips.
WUPATKI NATIONAL MONUMENT
One of our first stops this year was at Wupatki National Monument. (MORE STUFF HERE)
SUNSET CRATER VOLCANO NATIONAL MONUMENT
Our second stop was to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. It’s literally just down the road from Wupatki so it’s a no brainer to visit both.
PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Third stop on our 2022 Arizona national park tour was at Petrified Forest National Park. This one had been on our list for sometime but had previously been a bit out of the way. This time it was right on our tour path and we were glad to finally get to see this amazing place.
