The second national park I had the privilege to visit in June of 2022 was Olympic National Park. This park is large and somewhat spread out but most parts can be visited in a single trip (not all the long hikes, just the main portions).
It sits on the Olympic Peninsula in the Pacific Northwest and is some truly amazing country to see! My first stop was to the Hoh Rainforest. The area gets over 140 inches of rain per year and hosts 130 different kinds of moss. Thus the name of one of the more iconic trails, the Hall of Mosses trail. Here some images from my walk there.
Next portion of the park visited was Rialto Beach. Spent several days there enjoying the walks on the beach and of course the beautiful Washington state coastal imagery.
Here are a few shots taken on Rialto Beach.
